I am gasconading all about the NFJS Java symposium I have attended over the weekend. The Speakers were extraordinarily brilliant yet humble, were serious about technologies yet so hilarious...A round of applause to their technical acumen, folks!............
There is a saying in my mother tongue which says "Vidhyaadhadhaati Vinayambu" , meaning , the more one gets educated, the more polite, courteous one becomes - The speakers were living testimonials to this adage.
The sesisons I have attended are
1. Introduction to SPRING
2. Working with Rule Engines(DROOL)
3. Refactoring your code
4. Introduction to Hibernate.
5. Groovy
6. Get groovier with Grails
7. Google Web Tool kit
8. Real world wide web services
9. Prudent OO design
10. Programming with mock objects
Stay tuned for my posts on these sessions and my take aways from them.

What is this symposium?
Just curious to know.
We also use similar methodology - Agile, XP, Lot of rules in business, Hibernate, etc.
Yes, this is same ramki from orkut.
I work for Sabre Airline solutions where we use a lot of airline legality and quality of life rules. Also in the past every product developed its own GANTT chart without dveloping a common framework. Its like investing wheel over and over.
We use primarily XP both in java and C++. It is hard to use TDD and other agood stuff on C++ but we try as much as possible.
oh, ramki - I forgot to mention that it is the NFJS Java symposium.
