Kudos to Indra Nooyi

Indra Nooyi has been announced as the 5th CEO(ofcourse, the first Woman CEO) in 41-year PEPSI Co. history. She is the highest-ranking Indian-born woman in corporate America. Few months ago, when I was going through the Forbes article about Indra, I admired her for these reasons.
- She is a woman
- She is powerful, intelligent.
- She went to good schools.
and all those common attributes among the top-notchs.
But the best of all - "She attributes much of her success to her upbringing in India.". This "no matter where you go, but remember where you came from" notion of hers is what makes her more admirable.

"Being a woman, being foreign-born, you've got to be smarter than anyone else," says Nooyi, who honors her heritage by often attending PepsiCo events wearing a sari. If you cant respect your own culture, how could you be expected to respect others?
